What is Deliverable?

Deliverable is a specific item, file, service output or completed activity that the client can expect to receive from the agreed work.

Why it matters

Deliverables turn broad service language into things the client can recognize. They make it easier to discuss progress, acceptance and missing inputs. Naming them precisely also prevents a single label from hiding multiple formats or versions.

How to use it

  1. Name every output using language the client understands.
  2. Specify its format, quantity and included versions.
  3. Link each output to a review or delivery stage.
  4. Remove vague labels that could cover several items.
