OfferForBusiness Glossary
What is Hourly rate?
Hourly rate is the price charged for one unit of working time, with the final service total based on the time recorded under agreed rules.
Why it matters
Hourly pricing can fit work whose exact volume is difficult to know in advance. The client still needs to understand what time is counted and how progress will be reported. A rate without an estimate or control point can leave the total too open for a comfortable decision.
How to use it
- State which activities count as billable time.
- Give an estimate or working limit where possible.
- Set a rhythm for reporting time used and work completed.
- Agree when to pause and review the remaining work.
