What is Price range?

Price range is an early estimate between a lower and upper price, used when key scope details are still unknown or depend on the client's answers.

Why it matters

A range can support an early budget conversation before the brief is complete. Its value depends on explaining what moves the work toward either end. A bare range may be mistaken for a final commitment or invite the client to remember only the lower figure.

How to use it

  1. Identify the missing facts that prevent a fixed quote.
  2. Explain what conditions support the lower end.
  3. Describe what added work could move the price upward.
  4. Set the next step for replacing the range with a quote.
