OfferForBusiness Glossary
What is Work acceptance?
Work acceptance is the agreed process for checking a deliverable against stated criteria and confirming that the planned work is complete.
Why it matters
Acceptance gives a project a visible finishing point. It helps the client review against the offer instead of introducing a new preference at the final handoff. Clear criteria also tell you what evidence or files to present with the completed work.
How to use it
- Write observable criteria for each main deliverable.
- Set the time available for the client to review it.
- Name the person who can confirm acceptance.
- Explain how genuine defects will be reported and corrected.
OfferForBusiness helps you review whether completion has a clear test. The free preview can point out where acceptance still depends on an unstated expectation.
